The Competition
For the 4th annual poster show, designers were to create a new cover for their favorite book or scene. Submissions are judged and winners are displayed at the poster show.
The Design
Alice in Wonderland is a whimsical story with a theme of duality. This poster captures that duality in three ways: reality versus dream, reflection, and the double face of a playing card. The intricate lines create a whimsical maze that reflects Alice’s journey through Wonderland. Icons woven throughout the line work represent the eccentric characters and defining elements, and also add an element of surprise. And the design reflects at the bottom to mirror a playing card featuring characters from the Queen’s court.
